Al is the self-made man that turned his passion for gadgets into the highly successful gadget blog, www.coolest-gadgets.com.  As a former software engineer and gadget aficionado, Al launched the blog in August 2005 beavering away and creating a large number of posts before outsourcing some of the workload to trusted writers.  Quitting the rat race in January 2007, it took Al just 18 months to build up enough of a safety net (a large one at that!) to convince him to take the leap to full timer. 

Since then, Coolest Gadgets has steadily risen to a massive current RSS subscriber list of 59,802 with a large US following.  Monetised through Google Adsense, affiliate marketing and the subscriber list, Al was offered 7 figures for his blog in 2008; an offer that he turned down.

More recently, Al presented the well received seminar, “Million Dollar Blogging” at the A4U Expo in October 2008 (one of my favourite seminars from the event) and again in April 2009 at the A4U Expo in Amsterdam.
