Shane is the pay-per-click guru and founder of Targeted Media; one of the UK’s leading affiliate marketing and PPC management companies. As Google’s first ever Adwords Qualified Professional (and that’s worldwide!), it’s fair to say he knows a thing or two about the ever changing complexities of the search engine behemoth.
Starting out in 2000 as an affiliate marketeer, Shane rapidly built up a portfolio of PPC campaigns and sites to corner some of the most competitive sectors such as finance and credit cards, driving millions of pounds worth of traffic following the launch of Google Adwords in 2001.
With extensive knowledge of the pay-per-click arena, it was only a matter of time before he founded Targeted Media to serve the the needs of clients PPC activities in a field that requires specialist knowledge.
In 2008, Shane founded BrandWatcher, offering merchants, networks and agencies the ability to monitor and control affiliate and competitor pay per click activity on branded keywords.
As a keen traveller and frequent ‘skiver’, Shane can often be found out and about on one of his skiving escapades in exotic locations such as Dubai, Macau and Bangkok. When he’s not globe trotting, you can keep up with Shane’s views on his affiliate marketing blog www.revenueaddict.com.
Shane’s claim to fame is meeting Ron Jeremy (trying really hard to pretend I don’t know who he’s talking about!).
Rumours that Daniel Craig was the second choice to play James Bond (Shane was their first choice) are unfounded.
